Lead Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a group of engineers, providing technical direction and managing employee performance appraisals and development.
• Develop Process Design Basis, Design Philosophies, and perform complex process simulations including Heat & Mass Balance.
• Oversee the development of PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, and safe charts.
• Execute routine process calculations for hydraulics and sizing using specialized software and in-house tools.
• Manage process control configurations, ESD systems, and equipment designs for separators, pumps, and compressors.
• Perform relief valve and flare load calculations and develop utility balances for process plants.
• Coordinate project planning, scheduling, and inter-departmental activities to ensure successful execution.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to performance guarantees and vendor package scopes.
• Evaluate vendor, consultant, and licensor offers for process packages and specialized engineering studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 15 to 20 years of professional experience in engineering.
• Proficiency in process engineering software such as HYSYS, Flarenet, Pipenet, or Pipesim.
• Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, or Offshore sectors.
• Strong knowledge of safety studies including HAZOP, HAZID, and SIL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in FEED, Concept, and Basic Engineering, including PDP preparation.
• Experience working with licensors (BDEP).
• Experience in the engineering and design of facilities involving Fired Heaters, Heat Exchangers, and Columns.
• Knowledge of Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, or Operations.
