Lead Preschool Teacher

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides
• Implement weekly curriculum covering all areas of child development following a daily routine
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide high-quality care
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child while responding to their emotional needs
• Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios, including conducting biannual parent/teacher conferences
• Utilize the parent communication app efficiently to keep families updated

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a relevant field
• If degree is in another field, must have at least 12 credits of early childhood education
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work around small children, including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a childcare setting
