About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as a recognized expert in child protection, providing advice and consultation to multi-agency partners
  • Manage an allocated caseload including Section 47 enquiries, children on child protection plans, and children in pre-proceedings
  • Support allocated social workers in working effectively with families when significant harm is identified
  • Facilitate critical thinking and challenge across multi-agency groups
  • Apply evidence-based understanding of thresholds to support children and families

Requirements

  • Social Work England registration
  • Degree-level qualification in Social Work
  • Post-qualified experience in child protection
  • Demonstrable knowledge of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and contextual safeguarding
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
