About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a recognized expert in child protection, providing advice and consultation to multi-agency partners
- Manage an allocated caseload including Section 47 enquiries, children on child protection plans, and children in pre-proceedings
- Support allocated social workers in working effectively with families when significant harm is identified
- Facilitate critical thinking and challenge across multi-agency groups
- Apply evidence-based understanding of thresholds to support children and families
Requirements
- Social Work England registration
- Degree-level qualification in Social Work
- Post-qualified experience in child protection
- Demonstrable knowledge of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, and contextual safeguarding
- Eligibility to work in the UK
