About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and maintain quantitative valuation models for Power markets
  • Support risk management models for trading strategies, real options valuation, and forward curve simulations
  • Conduct quantitative analysis of structured deals to support asset valuations and hedging strategies
  • Apply advanced statistical analysis to design and refine scenario analysis and stress test methodologies
  • Model and estimate historical and implied volatilities and correlations
  • Communicate complex quantitative recommendations to management, traders, and risk professionals

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (Master’s, MBA, or Ph.D.) in a STEM field, Finance, or Economics
  • Proven experience in Power markets and Energy Quantitative Risk or Structuring
  • Strong understanding of option theory (Greeks) and Monte Carlo simulation techniques
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB
  • Experience with SQL for data management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with energy commodities ETRM systems (e.g., Endur, Allegro)
  • Proficiency with Tableau or comparable analytics platforms
  • Experience in Credit Risk Modeling
