Lead Platform Emulation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, hardware, and firmware engineers to define and verify new SOC features
• Drive emulation methodologies, SOC design models, and test architectures for full chip and hybrid models
• Develop comprehensive test plan documentation covering hardware, firmware, and software driver use cases
• Build directed pre-silicon emulation tests and write monitors/checkers for end-to-end validation
• Debug test failures to identify root causes, working closely with RTL and firmware teams to resolve defects
• Execute emulator workloads and perform technical debugging using logs, waveform dumps, and RTL debug

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
• 18+ years of professional experience in semiconductor engineering
• Hands-on experience with Zebu, Palladium, or Veloce emulation platforms
• Proficiency in Verilog, System Verilog, C, and C++
• Strong knowledge of PCIe, USB, and Ethernet standards
• Scripting experience in Perl, Ruby, Makefile, or shell

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BIOS/OS bring-up on full X86 SOC emulation platforms
• Proficiency in IP-level ASIC verification (CPU, GPU, and Memory subsystems)
• Experience debugging SOC IO interfaces using Transactor solutions
• Proven ability to mentor team members and collaborate across global geographies
