Lead PKI Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and manage scalable PKI solutions and certificate lifecycle management strategies.
• Lead automation efforts to streamline PKI processes and deploy optimized workflows.
• Collaborate with technical leads and product owners to ensure robust security and seamless operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with PKI systems across the enterprise.
• Mentor junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert in PKI architecture and operations.
• Monitor and maintain PKI systems to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical security infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive experience in PKI architecture and certificate lifecycle management tools (e.g., Keyfactor Command, Venafi, EJBCA, Digicert, or HashiCorp Vault).
• Hands-on experience with HSM appliances and cloud KMS services.
• Experience managing global systems across on-premise and cloud ecosystems (AWS and Azure).
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong proficiency with monitoring tools, specifically Splunk.
• Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and managing technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant security certifications, such as CISSP.
• Experience driving innovation within enterprise security frameworks.
