Lead Piping Stress Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed pipe stress analysis calculations to ensure system compliance
• Provide plant layout comments and communicate loads to other disciplines
• Develop piping mechanical specifications and special studies
• Manage Special Piping (SP) item calculations, drawings, data sheets, and requisition worksheets
• Create pipe support drawings, requisition worksheets, and determine support locations
• Guide and mentor junior engineers to ensure high-quality technical execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field
• 15-20 years of stress analysis experience within WHP, Fixed/Process Platforms, FPSO, or LNG environments
• Proficiency in Caesar II software for flexibility analysis
• Strong knowledge of support selection, support design, and special support drawing creation
• Expertise in Fatigue/Blast, FPSO Hog/Sag, and structural considerations
• Proficiency with Navisworks or Navis Model/Review Reality
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage projects in multi-center execution environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AIV/FIV (Acoustic Induced Vibration/Flow Induced Vibration)
• Experience with PML macros development
• Previous experience working with Shell DEP, Qatar Petroleum (QP), or other Middle East projects
