Lead Piping Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all piping engineering activities for offshore projects at Umm Shaif Super Complex, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards.
• Act as the primary technical authority for piping and layout engineering, including brownfield constraints and OEM interface requirements.
• Oversee package piping integration for compressors, air dryers, and receivers, including the review of vendor drawings and 3D model integration.
• Manage piping material engineering, including piping classes, MTO compliance, and pressure rating selection.
• Lead brownfield tie-in engineering, validating routing feasibility and reviewing site survey data/laser scans.
• Govern 3D model reviews (30%/60%/90%) using AVEVA E3D/PDMS or SP3D to ensure clash detection and optimal routing.
• Oversee piping stress engineering, reviewing analysis for compressor suction/discharge and large-bore piping.
• Provide technical input for HSE reviews such as HAZID, HAZOP, and SIMOPS.
• Support construction and commissioning through QA/QC oversight, hydrotest package reviews, and final piping acceptance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
• Mandatory ADNOC Offshore approval or eligibility.
• 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC Projects.
• Mandatory offshore experience, preferably with brownfield platform projects.
• Proficiency in AVEVA E3D/PDMS or SP3D.
• Strong technical leadership and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional certification.
