Lead Piping Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all piping engineering activities for offshore projects at Umm Shaif Super Complex, ensuring compliant design for instrument air, plant air, and utility systems.
• Act as the primary technical authority for piping and layout engineering, ensuring compliance with ADNOC Piping Standards and offshore specifications.
• Oversee package piping integration for compressors, air dryers, and receivers, including vendor drawing reviews and 3D model integration.
• Manage piping material engineering, including piping classes, MTO compliance, and pipe support specifications.
• Lead brownfield integration and tie-in engineering, validating routing feasibility and reviewing site survey data/laser scans.
• Govern 3D model reviews (30%/60%/90%) using AVEVA E3D/PDMS or SP3D to optimize routing and ensure clash detection.
• Provide oversight for piping stress engineering, reviewing analysis for compressor and receiver connections.
• Support HSE, safety, and integrity compliance through participation in HAZID, HAZOP, and SIMOPS reviews.
• Provide QA/QC and construction support, assisting with offshore prefabrication, installation, hydrotesting, and commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas EPC Projects.
• Mandatory offshore experience, preferably with brownfield platform projects.
• ADNOC Offshore approval or eligibility is mandatory.
• Proficiency in AVEVA E3D/PDMS or SP3D for advanced piping design and modeling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional certification.
