Lead Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Create daily workflow plans for the technician team to ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
• Develop pharmacy technician task sheets and downtime documentation
• Assist in preparing pharmacy technician schedules in coordination with leadership
• Delegate tasks, workflow items, and station assignments to team members
• Train additional pharmacy technicians on responsibilities unique to alternative shifts
• Practice all state and federal pharmacy regulations regarding the handling of prescriptions and drug products
• Maintain security and privacy rules regarding protected health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA
• Support pharmacist services by stocking, labeling, assembling, and filling medications
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe pharmacy environment in accordance with FDA and state regulations

Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing a team
• Active registration as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio
• National Certification (CPhT)
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems
• Ability to work flexible shift times
