Lead Pharmacy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the pharmacy assistant team within the inpatient dispensary
• Ensure safe, accurate and efficient dispensing of inpatient and discharge medications
• Use CMM/JAC systems for dispensing, stock management and workflow processes
• Maintain accurate records, labelling, and stock control across both inpatient pharmacy sites
• Provide support to pharmacists and technicians as required
• Assist with training and onboarding of junior assistants or new staff members
• Ensure compliance with local SOPs, medicines legislation and safety protocols

Requirements

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience
• Confident using CMM/JAC systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Effective communication and leadership skills
• Experience in a fast-paced dispensary environment
