Lead Performance Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Performance Engineering team to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability of software applications and systems
• Review performance testing strategies and provide recommendations for execution and software improvements
• Provide guidance to team members on performance optimization and communicate results to stakeholders
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure application scalability
• Oversee the monitoring and analysis of application performance in development, testing, and production environments
• Drive the development and implementation of performance testing best practices, processes, and tools
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and foster collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve performance gaps

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or 9+ years of equivalent experience in performance engineering or software testing)
• 6-8 years of experience in performance engineering and software testing within Oracle Cloud and other Cloud/On-Prem applications
• Extensive knowledge of performance testing standards, methodologies, and tools
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide team members
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Quality Assurance certification
• Experience with monitoring processes to track system health and performance metrics
• Experience with incident management of performance issues
• Experience planning for future system resource needs to ensure scalability
• Experience collaborating with architecture and development teams to improve service reliability and automation
