Lead People Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Reimagine core People workflows through an AI-first lens
• Design and build AI-powered workflows, copilots, and agents
• Architect systems integrating with SaaS like Workday, Greenhouse, and Sana
• Establish best practices for prompt engineering, LLM orchestration, and AI security
• Identify high-leverage opportunities to replace manual workflows with AI-native solutions
• Partner with Security, Legal, and IT to ensure compliant and ethical AI deployment
• Translate ambiguous business problems into scalable technical solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering or data engineering experience
• 2+ years building AI/ML or LLM-powered systems
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern APIs
• Experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
• Experience with LangChain and LangGraph
• Proven ability to build 0→1 systems with organizational impact
• Experience integrating with enterprise SaaS systems (HRIS, ATS)
• Experience working with sensitive data and responsible AI practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with People/HR systems (Workday, Greenhouse, Sana)
• Familiarity with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Workato, Zapier)
• Experience in high-growth SaaS environments
• Contributions to AI governance or internal AI platforms
