About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and scale end-to-end employee lifecycle operations for a large, distributed workforce with high monthly churn
- Design and operate bulk hiring and onboarding models capable of handling ~1,000 joiners per week
- Manage the entire lifecycle for fixed-term contract employees on third-party payroll
- Ensure full compliance with central and state labour laws, including EPF, ESI, PT, LWF, and Minimum Wages
- Manage multiple vendors for payroll processing, background verification, and compliance filings
- Leverage HRMS and automation to drive digitisation and straight-through processing
- Lead and provide guidance to a multi-layered operations team
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, Shared Services, or Payroll Management
- Proven track record handling high-volume, blue-collar, or salesforce (preferably 15,000+ headcount)
- Deep expertise in managing full employee lifecycle and statutory compliance in India
- Experience designing scalable, automated solutions for payroll and BGV in high-attrition environments
- High proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong data-driven decision making and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or PG Diploma in HR or equivalent
