About the role
Responsibilities
- Own and scale end-to-end employee lifecycle operations for a large, distributed workforce, including bulk onboarding, BGV, and exit processing.
- Design and operate high-volume onboarding models capable of handling approximately 1,000 joiners per week.
- Manage the entire lifecycle for fixed-term contract employees on third-party payroll, ensuring timely disbursements and vendor compliance.
- Ensure full compliance with central and state labour laws, including EPF, ESI, PT, LWF, and Minimum Wages.
- Oversee vendor performance for payroll, background verification, and compliance filings, defining clear SLAs and KPIs.
- Drive process excellence through HRMS automation, digitization, and straight-through processing to reduce manual effort.
- Lead and mentor a multi-layered operations team, fostering a culture of rigor and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive experience in HR Operations, Shared Services, or Payroll Management.
- Proven track record of managing high-volume workforces (preferably 15,000+ headcount), including blue-collar or salesforce populations.
- Deep functional expertise in Indian statutory compliance, registrations, and remittances.
- Experience designing scalable, automated solutions for payroll and BGV in high-attrition environments.
- High proficiency in MS Excel and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex exceptions at scale.

- MBA or PG Diploma in Human Resources.
