Lead Operator

Responsibilities

• Lead the efficient operation of assigned production lines, including starting/stopping lines and making minor equipment adjustments
• Organize resources to meet production schedules, quality, cost, and safety objectives
• Monitor products for compliance with quality standards and perform in-process/finished product quality checks
• Operate the Statistical Process Control (SPC) system and provide verification for critical packaging operations
• Manage inventory control for packaging materials, including auditing received materials and reconciling post-production
• Obtain samples for QC testing and stability, and determine when to place material on QA hold
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety rules, regulations, and good housekeeping standards
• Assist in training temporary and new employees to maintain a highly skilled and productive crew

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 10 to 12 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) operation
• Experience with quality compliance monitoring and inventory control
