Lead Operator Finishing

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure smooth operations within the finishing area of shaft manufacturing
• Take responsibility for the entire value creation process, including balancing, manufacturing technology, and quality control
• Provide technical leadership and daily support to operators
• Create, adjust, and optimize machine programs
• Systematically analyze and resolve process and machine-related malfunctions
• Act as a technical interface between quality, process engineering, and OEMs
• Implement continuous improvement processes (CIP) and participate in technical projects
• Train and onboard new employees

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in a mechanical field
• Several years of industrial experience, ideally working with rotating or rotationally symmetrical workpieces
• Proven experience in machine programming and operating production equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Proficiency with IT systems such as MES and SAP
• Methodical approach to troubleshooting and error correction (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
• Strong technical understanding and organizational skills
