About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect a scalable network observability platform using best practices for reliability, availability, and fault tolerance
  • Develop data schemas for source data transformation and standardization to Zeek format
  • Build custom analytics algorithms to deliver intelligent, predictive, and insightful network data
  • Design and implement modern data ingestion pipelines from Network Service Provider (NSP) monitoring systems
  • Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to translate user needs into technical requirements
  • Test APIs for responsiveness and efficiency while identifying and resolving bugs or bottlenecks
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for APIs and system integrations
  • Lead and coach development teams as necessary
  • Apply engineering principles to production management and automation to enhance workflow productivity

Requirements

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages including Python, Go, C/C++, Java, or JavaScript
  • Strong experience with backend and API technologies such as RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Kafka, and Airflow
  • Hands-on experience with Microservices and Distributed Systems
  • Expertise in Cloud and DevOps tools including AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform
  • Solid understanding of Data and AI technologies, including Machine Learning, LLMs, and Data Engineering
  • Deep knowledge of Networking and Systems, specifically Network Telemetry, TCP/IP, and Linux Systems
  • Experience with Observability tools such as the ELK Stack and Grafana
  • Strong grasp of Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies and the full SDLC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Generative AI, AI Agents, LangChain, and NLP
  • Knowledge of network security monitoring tools like Zeek
  • Understanding of system and software security (SSO, Kerberos, LDAP, Windows AD)
  • Experience in high-performance computing (HPC) and large-scale data processing (Spark, Hadoop)
  • A risk-aware mindset with knowledge of operational risks in financial institutions
