About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect a scalable network observability platform using best practices for reliability, availability, and fault tolerance
  • Develop schemas for source data transformation and standardization to Zeek format
  • Build custom analytics algorithms to deliver intelligent, predictive, and insightful data
  • Design and implement modern data ingestion pipelines from Network Service Provider (NSP) monitoring systems
  • Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to translate user needs into technical requirements
  • Test APIs for responsiveness and efficiency, identifying and resolving bugs or bottlenecks
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for APIs
  • Coach and lead development teams as necessary
  • Implement robust identity and access management using SSO, Kerberos, LDAP, or Windows AD
  • Apply engineering principles to production management to support scalable operations

Requirements

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, C/C++, or Java
  • Experience with backend and API technologies including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Kafka, and Airflow
  • Strong knowledge of Microservices and Distributed Systems
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Expertise in DevOps tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Data and AI technologies, including Machine Learning, NLP, or Generative AI
  • Understanding of Network Telemetry, TCP/IP, and Linux Systems
  • Solid grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and SOLID principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Zeek Network Security Monitoring Tool and OpenTelemetry
  • Knowledge of observability stacks such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Grafana
  • Familiarity with big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Hive
  • Understanding of operational risks within financial institutions
  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments
