Lead MRI Technologist

Responsibilities

• Provide daily oversight and management of all MRI department clinical, technical, and administrative tasks
• Adhere to established Atria MRI protocols, imaging techniques, and standards of care
• Prepare and position patients correctly for specific examinations, ensuring proper documentation and questionnaires
• Review exams for quality and completeness, communicate with reading institutions, and inform physicians of critical findings
• Maintain records for daily quality assurance, preventative maintenance, and equipment calibrations
• Manage inventory levels for consumables and MRI department supplies
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements from ACR, DOH, and ARRT
• Schedule physicist appointments for equipment testing and troubleshoot Radiology IT issues with various platforms
• Perform a variety of MRI procedures requiring independent judgment with minimal supervision

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred
• Proven experience with Siemens 3.0T Systems
• Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist through the Florida Dept. of Health
• ARRT MR certification
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (or completed within 90 days of hire)
• MRI safety certification level 2 (required yearly)

Preferred Qualifications

• MRSO/MRSE certification from the American Board of Magnetic Resonance Safety
• IV certification
