Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of core features for the Halter app, focusing on deep native integration
• Collaborate with React front-end engineers to ensure a seamless and performant native mobile application
• Work with Design and Product to make smart trade-offs and ship high-impact mobile features
• Drive mobile app performance, focusing on metrics, optimizations, and battery life
• Build resilient flows and graceful error handling for real-world field conditions
• Evolve the mobile design system and UI patterns
• Raise the bar through code reviews, pairing, and mentoring

Requirements

• Deep expertise in iOS native development and mobile architecture
• Experience with React Native and understanding its mapping to the iOS platform
• Proven track record of App Store releases at scale
• Experience with design systems and mentoring mobile engineers
• Experience shipping complex, high-performance native iOS applications in cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, accessibility, testing, and maintainability

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to boost development quality and speed
• A university degree (considered a bonus)
