Lead ML Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data ingestion pipelines for the AI Core platform
• Implement data quality monitoring and validation systems
• Model new types of data into foundation models
• Analyze the impact of new data sources on existing models through experimentation
• Develop and maintain data preparation workflows using distributed computing frameworks like Ray
• Tune and optimize machine learning models using hyperparameter optimization
• Collaborate with AI Core ML, Platform, and Infra teams
• Lead technical initiatives and mentor team members

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in machine learning engineering or data engineering
• Proven experience building data ingestion pipelines at scale
• Expertise in distributed computing frameworks such as Ray or Spark
• Strong background in applied machine learning and model training
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and ML workflows
• Experience with data quality monitoring and validation systems
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MLflow or similar model tracking systems
• Knowledge of foundation models and transformer architectures
• Experience with orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow
• Background in financial services or fintech
