Lead Mitigation Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise mitigation crews on residential and commercial job sites
• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage from fire, water, mold, and weather
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation services per IICRC standards
• Develop drying plans and monitor equipment placement and moisture goals
• Remove and dispose of damaged building materials safely
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected interior spaces
• Document job progress via photos, moisture readings, and detailed notes using industry software
• Communicate professionally with clients, adjusters, and internal teams
• Train and mentor Mitigation Technicians to uphold quality and safety standards

Requirements

• IICRC WRT certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)
• Prior experience in restoration, mitigation, or construction
• Demonstrated ability to lead a crew and manage job site workflow
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
• Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to use Microsoft Teams and industry software (Proven Jobs, Encircle, Docusketch)

Preferred Qualifications

• ASD (Applied Structural Drying) certification
• Experience with PSA or similar job management platforms
• Experience training or mentoring team members
