Lead Mental Health Clinical Assistant

Altior Healthcare comprises three distinct mental health treatment programs, including a specialized program for US Veterans. With over 15 unique locations, we manage and support 500+ dedicated employees serving over 300 residential clients daily across five states.

Responsibilities

• Guide residents through daily routines, including meals, group activities, and therapy sessions
• Promote and maintain a safe, secure, and structured therapeutic environment
• Assist with welcoming and intaking new residents to ensure comfort and safety
• Develop and facilitate psychoeducational groups focused on skill-building
• Communicate resident care updates to Clinical Directors, Therapists, and Nursing staff
• Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary
• Monitor resident sharps and valuables for safety compliance
• Provide CPR, wound care, and medication assistance under licensed supervision

Requirements

• Experience in behavioral health, residential treatment, or clinical settings preferred
• Experience working with adolescents and/or young adults strongly preferred
• Prior experience as a Mental Health Technician, Behavioral Health Technician, or Caregiver preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-acuity situations
