Lead Medical Biller

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train new billing hires
• Conduct routine audits for regulatory compliance
• Optimize team capacity and workload distribution
• Review and verify claims for accuracy and completeness
• Manage denials and perform aggressive follow-up on outstanding claims
• Reconcile payments and interpret EOBs and ERAs
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, and Medi-Cal regulations

Requirements

• 2+ years of Lead Medical Biller experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical billing diploma
• Experience with Lytec or Medisoft
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification
