Lead Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical care including vitals, lab tests, aerosol nebulizations, and administration of immunizations.
• Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the Neurosciences Clinic, including creating daily staff schedules and directing clinical flow.
• Coordinate with providers and staff to enhance patient care quality and manage rooming and charting processes.
• Lead the orientation of new clinical employees and participate in continuous Quality Improvement projects.
• Manage clinic audits and quality control processes, such as POC proficiency testing and equipment maintenance.
• Act as an informal leader in staff meetings and assist in implementing new policies and workflows.

Requirements

• High school degree required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience within the UChicago Medicine health system.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to clinic patients.
• Experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical specialty experience within Neurosciences or a related field.
• Previous experience in an inpatient or home health setting.
