Lead Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design and execution for onshore facilities, including refineries, petrochemical plants, terminals, and process units.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure quality, safety, and compliance of all mechanical deliverables.
• Oversee the development of equipment sizing, selection, specifications, datasheets, and technical bid evaluations.
• Coordinate with process, piping, civil/structural, and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers, including resource planning and task assignment.
• Monitor effort-hour budgets, staffing plans, and schedules to ensure project objectives are met.
• Collaborate with Global Integrated Delivery (GID) offices worldwide to maximize workshare efficiency.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer on onshore projects.
• Experience working on capital projects from feasibility through to startup.
• Strong knowledge of static and rotating equipment used in onshore facilities.
• Experience with both brownfield and greenfield projects.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project environments.
• Knowledge of API, ANSI, NEMA, and ASTM specifications.
• Familiarity with multi-disciplinary project execution and global workshare models.
