Lead Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and a team independently
• Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for HVAC, chilled water, heating, and plumbing systems
• Mentor and grow the mechanical team
• Manage contracts and clients for MEP projects
• Perform quality reviews of deliverables and project execution
• Assess project requirements, define scope of work, budget, and staffing in collaboration with Project Managers
• Prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyze existing operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
• 8+ years of design engineering experience, preferably in design consulting
• Experience in engineering consulting within agrifood, bioindustrial, F&B, or pharmaceutical industries
• Knowledge of HVAC design and central utilities (steam, chilled water, compressed air)
• Solid knowledge of mechanical codes and standards including ASHRAE and ACGIH
• Familiarity with ISPE and HACCP requirements
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
• Ability to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week
