Lead Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture, analysis, and parts design for multiple concurrent connected product programs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of mechanical engineers, establishing design quality standards.
• Drive mechanical design strategy in partnership with Industrial Design, Product, and Program Management teams.
• Own the system integration of mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturing, operations, and quality groups.
• Champion DFM and manufacturing readiness through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production milestones.
• Oversee mechanical reliability testing programs and drive corrective actions for durability and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics, IoT, or similar electro-mechanical products.
• Proven track record of successfully shipping high-volume products from concept to mass production.
• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to influence senior-level technical decisions.
