Lead Material Planner

Responsibilities

• Own material planning and execution for assigned commodities, components, or assemblies to support production and engineering builds
• Translate production demand into executable supply plans through ERP while balancing service levels and inventory targets
• Design and refine planning system parameters and master data to reflect supply chain capabilities
• Lead material readiness for engineering changes and new part introductions
• Deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage views, and run-out risk assessments
• Apply analytical rigor to inventory strategy, safety stock sizing, and EOQ optimization
• Serve as the primary operational interface for assigned suppliers to drive delivery performance
• Partner with Procurement, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics to resolve constraints
• Identify and implement improvements to planning processes and reporting as the company scales

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related quantitative field
• 5+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain operations, or manufacturing in a hardware or industrial environment
• Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems in discrete manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data sets and drive operational decisions
• Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and supplier execution
• High proficiency in Excel
• Clear, structured communicator

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Odoo ERP
• SQL and basic data manipulation skills
• Experience with electro-mechanical assemblies involving both off-the-shelf and custom manufactured components
