Lead Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Review receiving flow and allocate resources to ensure proper product intake
• Communicate job specifications, order status, and inventory updates to corporate personnel
• Monitor dock activity, product flow, and coordinate cycle counting activities
• Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff on methods, procedures, and safety programs
• Conduct quality control audits of inbound shipments to ensure compliance
• Ensure warehouse areas remain clean, orderly, and inventory is properly located
• Support continuous improvement and assist with hiring and evaluating department personnel
• Maintain compliance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001)

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
• At least 1 year of experience in a team lead or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, and shipping
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
