Lead Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Review receiving flow and allocate resources to ensure operational efficiency
• Communicate job specifications, order status, and inventory updates to corporate personnel
• Monitor dock activity, product flow, and coordinate cycle counting activities
• Train, coach, and mentor warehouse staff on methods, procedures, and safety programs
• Conduct quality control audits of inbound shipments to ensure compliance
• Ensure warehouse areas are clean, orderly, and inventory is properly located
• Assist with hiring, evaluating, and developing department personnel
• Support continuous improvement and adherence to Quality and Environmental Management Systems

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment
• At least 1 year of experience in a team lead or supervisory role
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including receiving and inventory control
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and basic ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
