About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications used for vehicle electrical testing and manufacturing validation
- Troubleshoot and root-cause complex software and system issues affecting manufacturing test processes
- Support application validation on benches, development hardware, and vehicles
- Partner with manufacturing, IT, product engineering, and plant teams to deploy reliable solutions
- Lead technical problem-solving across multiple projects and drive priorities to completion
- Mentor and support less-experienced developers through technical challenges and best practices
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing software tools, processes, and system performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Demonstrated technical leadership experience
- Proficiency in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, or Java
- Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems involving software-hardware interactions
- Experience developing or supporting software in manufacturing, industrial, or test system environments
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with automotive manufacturing, end-of-line testing, or vehicle diagnostics
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, UDS, or DoIP
- Exposure to firmware, hardware-integrated software, or embedded systems
- Proficiency with GitHub, Jira, and Visual Studio
- Experience supporting production-critical applications in high-availability environments
