About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications used for vehicle electrical testing and manufacturing validation
  • Troubleshoot and root-cause complex software and system issues affecting manufacturing test processes
  • Support application validation on benches, development hardware, and vehicles
  • Partner with manufacturing, IT, product engineering, and plant teams to deploy reliable solutions
  • Lead technical problem-solving across multiple projects and drive priorities to completion
  • Mentor and support less-experienced developers through technical challenges and best practices
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing software tools, processes, and system performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of professional software development experience
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience
  • Proficiency in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, or Java
  • Proven ability to debug and troubleshoot complex systems involving software-hardware interactions
  • Experience developing or supporting software in manufacturing, industrial, or test system environments
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automotive manufacturing, end-of-line testing, or vehicle diagnostics
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as CAN, UDS, or DoIP
  • Exposure to firmware, hardware-integrated software, or embedded systems
  • Proficiency with GitHub, Jira, and Visual Studio
  • Experience supporting production-critical applications in high-availability environments
