Lead, Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Learn and document established and new manufacturing procedures
• Create and maintain bill of materials and work instructions for technicians
• Continuously improve manufacturing volume and efficiency through process refinement
• Research, source, and implement proposals for equipment and manufacturing methods
• Provide DFM review to new product designs
• Analyze and resolve manufacturing discrepancies and lead root cause analyses
• Conduct studies to estimate schedule and cost for production efforts
• Train production personnel on new processes and equipment
• Align local business processes with global business standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or relevant engineering
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience managing a team and mentoring junior members
• Proficiency with Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, PFMEA, and SPC
• Knowledge of mechanical processing (machining, 3D printing, coating)
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing (soldering, inspection, rework)
• Familiarity with environmental testing (thermal, vibration, vacuum, shock)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering
• Experience manufacturing hardware for space-based systems
• Exposure to Infor LN, PowerBI, or SQL
• Python or SQL programming skills
• Experience with time studies and layout improvement
• Familiarity with cleanroom and ESD-sensitive hardware best practices
