Lead Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the manufacturing engineering function, including mentoring and guiding a small technical team
• Build scalable manufacturing systems, standards, and processes to improve consistency, quality, and efficiency
• Oversee manufacturing documentation including work instructions, build documentation, specifications, routing, and process control
• Support ECO implementation, BOM updates, and engineering-to-production transitions
• Lead the design, sourcing, validation, and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, tooling, and production aids
• Help oversee and continuously improve Algo’s ISO 9001 quality management system
• Partner with Engineering and R&D teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability during New Product Introduction (NPI)

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• P.Eng designation or eligibility for registration is a must
• Strong experience in manufacturing, production, or process engineering within a technical manufacturing environment
• Experience with manufacturing documentation, ECO processes, BOMs, tooling, and process control
• Strong understanding of DFM, NPI, and engineering-to-production handoffs
• Demonstrated leadership experience leading projects, people, or initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems
• Background in electronics, electromechanical products, or PCB assembly
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and production data management
• Experience leading or mentoring a small technical or quality-focused team
