Lead Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electromechanical maintenance technicians
• Schedule and assign tasks to ensure work meets required standards
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance reinforcement
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans with planners
• Audit routine inspections to proactively address potential issues
• Coordinate repair and replacement of electromechanical components
• Diagnose complex electromechanical issues and implement solutions
• Interface with cross-functional teams to execute projects
• Ensure prompt emergency repairs to minimize production disruptions
• Enforce safety protocols and comply with relevant regulations
• Participate in safety audits and investigations

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production or plant maintenance
• Experience with heavy commercial equipment (Mills, Crushers, Conveyors, Pumps)
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
• Experience troubleshooting AC/DC electrical systems, motors, pneumatics, and PLCs
• Proficiency in CMMS and MS Office applications
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial conditions
• Ability to wear PPE including Tyvek suits and PAPR for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous leadership or team management experience
• Experience in fabrication and welding
• Knowledge of motion control, sensors, I/O, and VFDs
