Lead Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical integrity and safety of the community
• Perform maintenance tasks personally or delegate to technicians
• Oversee and inspect work performed by maintenance staff
• Manage the resident service request system and ensure timely resolution
• Conduct regular safety meetings and maintain HAZCOM/SDS standards
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tools
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues
• Manage apartment turnovers and make-ready repairs
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance materials
• Assist with property emergencies and on-call rotations

Requirements

• At least two years of experience in property maintenance
• High School Graduate or equivalent (or 5 years maintenance experience)
• Valid Driver’s License with current liability insurance
• Experience in all trades including plumbing, electrical, and A/C
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform bending/reaching daily
• Availability for on-call rotation
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in apartment maintenance on a 200+ unit property
• CPO Certification
• HVAC Universal Certification
• Completion of Grace Hill/Yardi On-Line Training
• Proficiency with Yardi Maintenance Systems
