About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a maintenance team of 3-8 employees, including training, planning, and directing work.
  • Direct workers engaged in repairing production equipment and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance procedures personally or through subordinates.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Assist all departments with machinery breakdowns and participate in plant shutdowns or new equipment installations.
  • Enforce safety regulations and ensure all workers follow company safety requirements and pre-shift inspections.
  • Analyze and resolve technical work problems and suggest improvements to increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of AC & DC motors, drives, and controls.
  • Proficiency with 120/240/480v single and three-phase systems.
  • Ability to lift 60-70 lbs without assistance and 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Fluency in English (Bilingual is a plus).
  • Ability to use various hand and power tools, including amp clamps and volt meters.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance documents.
