Lead Machine Learning Engineer

About the Company

At Nudge, our mission is to develop the best technology for interfacing with the brain to improve people's lives. We are developing a non-invasive, ultrasound-based device that can stimulate and image the brain at high resolution and depth through a vertically integrated effort of hardware, software, and research.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of imaging algorithms leveraging in-house ultrasound transducers and high-performance compute
• Drive the development of high-resolution acoustic simulation systems to model ultrasound energy propagation
• Architect computer vision and real-time inference systems to track brain motion and adapt targeting parameters
• Partner with mechanical, electrical, ultrasound, and neuroscience teams to translate research into production systems
• Define technical strategy and best practices across ML, modeling, simulation, and signal processing infrastructure
• Mentor engineers through technical leadership and code reviews
• Shape the long-term ML roadmap for non-traditional machine learning applications

Requirements

• At least 3 years of industry experience
• Strong first-principles understanding of engineering, physics, and signal processing
• Experience writing production-level code, preferably Python
• Degree in Computer Science or a similar engineering discipline
• Proven track record of shipping products that solve problems involving real-world sensors
• High integrity and strong professional judgement
