About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day execution of food orders and maintain culinary standards
  • Assist with team scheduling, inventory management, and order tracking
  • Lead kitchen operations and opening/closing procedures when the manager is off-site
  • Mentor, train, and verify SOP compliance for Line Cooks and Prep Cooks
  • Execute menu items from scratch following recipes and brand standards
  • Prepare ingredients for assigned stations with appropriate labeling and dating
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation, safety, and ServSafe compliance
  • Receive, unpack, and organize inventory according to par levels

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of experience in high-volume kitchen environments (fast-casual, QSR, or from-scratch)
  • 1 year of kitchen leadership experience
  • Experience with food preparation from scratch, including sauces and basic knife skills
  • Proficiency in grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods
  • NYC Food Protection Certificate
  • Ability to work well under pressure with high attention to detail
