Lead Java Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, testing, and maintenance of non-embedded software throughout the end-to-end lifecycle.
• Lead the review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into initial software product designs.
• Provide technical leadership for the System Planning and Scheduling team, accelerating complex Java development and mentoring mid-career developers.
• Manage the development and documentation of architectures, requirements, algorithms, and interfaces.
• Oversee debugging and issue resolution to ensure software reliability and efficiency.
• Research and implement emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to software development.
• Monitor software processes, tools, and key performance metrics to align projects with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
• 10+ years of experience with Java, C++, Angular/React.js, HTML, and CSS.
• 10+ years of experience with software configuration management tools.
• 10+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud environment.
• Experience working with both Windows and Linux operating systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with software architecture and design methodologies.
• Experience with software development processes in compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Proficiency with software development and testing tools, including compilers, debuggers, and requirements management tools.
• Experience with implementation, validation, and verification processes to ensure software quality and safety.
