Lead Java Developer

Responsibilities

• Define and drive engineering strategy, technical direction, and platform roadmaps.
• Own scalable, secure, and resilient architecture across Platforms & Data.
• Set engineering standards for software development, DevOps, reliability, and AI-assisted engineering.
• Lead modernization initiatives across platforms, tooling, and infrastructure.
• Partner with product, engineering, data, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and technical leads to improve delivery quality and engineering maturity.
• Lead solution design for distributed systems, event-driven platforms, APIs, and cloud-native services.
• Drive adoption of AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, CI/CD, observability, automation, and platform engineering practices.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI use cases to improve scalability and productivity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership in large-scale systems.
• Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes/EKS, containers, Helm, CI/CD, Git workflows, and test automation.
• Experience with platform engineering, observability tools, automation frameworks, and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience driving AI adoption, AI-assisted engineering practices, and workflow automation.
• Ability to review code, debug production issues, and provide hands-on technical guidance.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Fintech, digital banking, or regulated technology environments.
