Lead Java Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a collaborative Agile and DevOps culture.
• Define and execute the technical strategy and architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance FinTech applications.
• Design, develop, and deploy Java-based microservices using Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Architect and maintain microservices-based systems on cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Ensure efficient containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and business leaders to align technical roadmaps with company goals.
• Ensure applications comply with financial regulations and data security standards like GDPR and PCI DSS.
• Optimize SQL/NoSQL databases and integrate real-time data processing solutions for high-throughput workloads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10-12 years of experience in Java development.
• 5+ years of experience mentoring or coaching individual contributors.
• Expertise in Java (Spring Boot, Hibernate), microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
• Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and version control systems like Git.
• Proven ability to design and deploy secure applications within a regulated environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Payment Tokenization and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES).
• Expertise in secure credential provisioning and token management.
• Proficiency in using Azure services (Azure Functions, Key Vault, App Service) within payments ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Knowledge of big data and messaging systems like Kafka or Hadoop.
