Lead Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect the digital nervous system for retail stores by designing API touchpoints and integrating systems for an era of Agentic AI.
• Build and maintain a dynamic, searchable map of every API touchpoint in the store to eliminate "dark data."
• Design a "Store Health" command center using Dynatrace to predict interface-related outages.
• Launch pilot implementations of MCP-compliant interfaces to allow AI agents to retrieve real-time inventory and customer data autonomously.
• Audit the enterprise landscape to catalog consumed services and establish technical liaisons with backend organizations.
• Drive a "Store-First" mindset across vendor roadmaps, prioritizing low latency and offline resiliency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience in enterprise systems integration or API management.
• 5 years of experience with API Design Governance and Lifecycle Management.
• 5 years of experience with Enterprise Observability tools (specifically Dynatrace).
• 5 years of experience managing 3rd-party vendor technical integrations and backend liaising.
• 5 years of experience implementing modern integration protocols (REST, GraphQL, or emerging AI-centric protocols).

Preferred Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Model Context Protocol (MCP) to ensure APIs are "Agent-ready."
• Knowledge of Agentic frameworks and A2A (Agent-to-Agent) communication standards.
• Ability to translate complex architectural decisions into clear business value for retail leadership.
