Lead Inspection Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily field activities for fire sprinkler and fire alarm inspections and testing
• Perform inspection, testing, and maintenance on wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems
• Perform inspection and testing of low-voltage fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA 72
• Conduct field QA audits of inspection teams to ensure quality and code compliance
• Mentor junior inspectors and trainees through ride-alongs and field coaching
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for customers and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
• Identify system deficiencies and provide recommendations for corrective actions
• Ensure all work is performed safely in compliance with company and OSHA standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler and/or fire alarm inspection, testing, and service
• Demonstrated experience inspecting major system types (wet, dry, pre-action, deluge) and low-voltage fire alarm systems
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 25 and NFPA 72
• NICET certification in Water-Based Systems and/or Fire Alarm Systems or willingness to obtain
• Experience mentoring, training, or onboarding technicians
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and system drawings
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights or in varying weather conditions
