Lead Infrastructure Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise firewall infrastructure using Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Tufin policy orchestration platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for device provisioning and operational tasks to improve efficiency.
• Act as a technical escalation point for Network Operations and Service Delivery teams.
• Drive infrastructure engineering workstreams to architect and implement changes for modernization and issue resolution.
• Utilize AI-assisted practices and enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate infrastructure analysis and design documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure changes are traceable, auditable, and aligned with security expectations.
• Develop comprehensive implementation and operational documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in firewall and network security design, engineering, and implementation within a large enterprise environment.
• Deep expertise in Check Point, Fortinet, or Palo Alto technologies.
• Proficiency in DevOps and scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, or JSON.
• Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DMZ, and boundary network architecture.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, micro-services, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Experience using AI capabilities to support engineering workflows with a focus on data sensitivity and validation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with network security technologies including proxies and load balancers.
• Experience working within Agile methodologies such as Kanban or Scrum.
