Lead Infant Guide

Responsibilities

• Foster a supportive and collaborative educational atmosphere using Montessori and RIE pedagogies
• Provide primary caregiving to 1-3 infants while working alongside a team of guides
• Observe and record developmental milestones and progress regularly
• Lead the teaching team in maintaining high accreditation standards and Ohana principles
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and corporate leadership regarding child development
• Maintain a prepared environment by readying the classroom for daily use
• Mentor and coach other teachers to ensure high-quality programming

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience working in an infant environment
• Proficiency in primary caregiving techniques
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift, move, or hold children weighing up to 60 pounds
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and navigate uneven outdoor terrain

Preferred Qualifications

• MACTE accredited Montessori certification or RIE training
• Master's degree in a related field
• Training in RIE foundations or Positive Discipline at the infant/toddler level
• Fluency in languages other than English
