Lead Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead maintenance staff in everyday scheduling, preventative maintenance, and repair of production equipment
• Collaborate with Maintenance team, Planner, and Parts Clerk to maintain equipment and parts inventory
• Conduct major equipment repairs, overhauls, and rebuilding to ensure operational safety and schedule compliance
• Ensure staff are trained in health, safety, and environmental standards
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on automation failure modes
• Manage CMMS usage and provide feedback for maintenance strategy
• Mentor and guide junior technicians and maintenance staff
• Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
• Ensure facilities meet GMP, CFIA, and BRC standards
• Coordinate pre-shift and handover meetings

Requirements

• Industrial/Maintenance Electrician 422A and/or 309A certification
• 1-3 years of leadership experience leading Millwrights or electricians
• Experience with vertical/horizontal wrappers, robotics, and tunnel ovens is an asset
• Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, Robotics, and HMIs (Allen-Bradley and SIEMENS preferred)
• Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
• Proficiency with CMMS
• Experience with power transmission, pneumatic, hydraulic, and servo systems
• Machining skills (lathes, milling, drill press) and rigging/hoisting experience preferred
