About the role
Responsibilities
- Layout and install applied HVAC equipment independently
- Supervise a team of installation technicians on customer job sites
- Perform startup of applied equipment and complete required log sheets
- Communicate directly with end-user customers regarding installation and startup
- Perform depot maintenance, testing, and repairs including refrigerant management
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting following lockout/tagout and PPE procedures
- Use wiring diagrams and meters to confirm voltages and components
- Collect superheat and sub-cooling data on all applied equipment
- Navigate equipment control panels to manage setpoints and system status
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training
- 5+ years of experience in chiller/HVAC maintenance or mechanical engineering
- Electrical knowledge and familiarity with manufacturing designs or schematics
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld computers (Smartphone/iPad)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds frequently
- Ability to work in diverse conditions including noisy environments and extreme weather
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Certification
- HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, or Gas Installer credentials
