Lead Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and support housekeeping staff across assigned campus buildings during the second shift.
• Train and onboard new employees while assigning and coordinating work schedules.
• Inspect completed work to ensure high standards of cleanliness and quality of service.
• Address employee performance concerns, minor disciplinary actions, and housekeeping-related complaints.
• Maintain supply inventory and ensure adherence to safety standards (OSHA, MSDS, HAZCOM).
• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including floor care (stripping, waxing, buffing), window washing, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Assist with specialized custodial functions, snow removal near entrances, and moving furniture.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of commercial or institutional custodial experience.
• Proven knowledge of commercial cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Basic supervisory skills, including decision-making, time management, and interpersonal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn operational applications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Physical ability to perform heavy custodial work and operate cleaning machinery.
